SEC. 713. STUDY OF BANKRUPTCY PREPARATION AND RESPONSE.(a) Study.—The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study that examines the immediate aftermath of a major ocean carrier bankruptcy and its impact through the supply chain. 132 STAT. 4299 The study shall consider any financial mechanisms that could be used to mitigate the impact of any future bankruptcy events on the supply chain.(b) Report.—No later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives a report containing the findings, conclusions, and recommendations, if any, from the study required under subsection (a).
