public safety and justice (including rescission) For an additional amount for “Public safety and justice”, $29,360,000, of which $5,064,000, to remain available until expended, shall be solely for overtime expenses of the Metropolitan Police Department and $800,000, to remain available until expended, shall be solely for overtime expenses of the Superior Court: Provided, That of the funds appropriated under this heading for fiscal year 1989 in the District of Columbia Appropriations Act, 1989, approved October 1, 1988 (Public Law 100–462; 102 Stat. 2269–2 to 2269–4), $1,210,000 are rescinded for a net increase of $28,150,000.
