Sec. 602. (a) This title is applicable only to the Coast Guard Reserve. (b) This Act is not applicable to those officers of the Reserve whose names appear in the Register of the Commissioned and Warrant Officers and Cadets of the United States Coast Guard. Such officers shall be considered for promotion under the regulations governing promotion of officers of the Regular Coast Guard as though such officers were officers of the Regular Coast Guard. (c) This title shall apply equally to women members of the Reserve except where the context indicates otherwise. 68 Stat. 1184 (d) Temporary members of the Coast Guard Reserve are excluded from the provisions of this Act.
