Sec. 305. Notwithstanding any other provision of law— (1) an Air Force nurse or medical specialist who is on a recommended list for promotion to a higher regular grade on the effective date of this Act may, if nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate, be promoted to that grade; and (2) an Air-Force nurse or medical specialist who, on the effective date of this Act, has been nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate for promotion to a higher regular grade, may be promoted to that grade.
