SEC. 306. SUPPORT FOR THE 1996 SUMMER OLYMPICS. (a) Authority To Provide Support.—The Secretary of Defense may provide logistical support and personnel services in connection with the 1996 games of the XXVI Olympiad to be held in Atlanta, Georgia. (b) Pay and Nontravel-Related Allowances.—(1) Except as provided in paragraph (2), the costs for pay and nontravel-related allowances of members of the Armed Forces for the support and services referred to in subsection (a) may not be charged to appropriations made pursuant to the authorization of appropriations in subsection (c). 105 STAT. 1335 (2) Paragraph (1) does not apply in the case of members of a reserve component called or ordered to active duty to provide logistical support and personnel services for the games of the XXVI Olympiad. (c) Authorization of Appropriations.—There is authorized to be appropriated for the Department of Defense for fiscal year 1992 the sum of $2,000,000 to carry out subsection (a).
