WAIVER OF MINIMUM PLANTING REQUIREMENT

SEC. 383. WAIVER OF MINIMUM PLANTING REQUIREMENT The producers on a farm shall be eligible for payments for a crop of rice or upland cotton under sections 101B(c)(1)(D)(i) and 103B(c)(1)(D)(i) of the Agricultural Act of 1949 (7 U.S.C. 1441–2(c)(1)(D)(i) and 1444–2(c)(1)(D)(i), without regard to the minimum planting requirement established in sections 101B(c)(1)(D)(ii) and 103B(c)(1)(D)(ii) of such Act, if— (1) one or more of the producers on the farm is an activated reservist during any portion of the crop year; and (2) the producers on the farm satisfy all other requirements determined appropriate by the Secretary for the payments.
