(a) Section 1861(b)(6), as added by section 227(a) of this Act, is amended by deleting “; or” and inserting in lieu thereof the following: “, or in the case of services in a hospital or osteopathic hospital by an intern or resident-in-training in the field of podiatry, approved by the Council on Podiatry Education of the American Podiatry Association; or”. (b) The amendment made by this section shall apply with respect, to accounting periods beginning after December 31, 1972.
