Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law: (1) The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to settle claims regarding construction of public quarters at the Naval Station, Charleston, South Carolina, in the amount of $1,675,000. (2) The Secretary of the Air Force is authorized to settle claims regarding construction of mobile home facilities at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, in the amount of $88,000, plus interest at 8% Per centum from April 23, 1975, the date of settlement.
