Sec. 605. It is the sense of the Congress that— (1) the Government of the United States should give special consideration to the plight of refugees from Democratic Kampuchea (Cambodia) in view of the magnitude and severity of the violations of human rights committed by the Government of Democratic Kampuchea (Cambodia); and (2) the Attorney General should exercise his authority under section 212(d)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act to parole into the United States— (A) for the fiscal year 1979, 7,500 aliens who are nationals or citizens of Democratic Kampuchea (Cambodia) and who are applying for admission to the United States; and (B) for the fiscal year 1980, 7,500 such aliens.
