penalties for violations Sec. 112. (a) Section 6(a) of the Export Administration Act of 1969 is amended— (1) in the first sentence, by striking out “$10,000” and inserting in lieu thereof “$25.000”; and (2) in the second sentence, by striking out “$20,000” and inserting in lieu thereof “$50,000”. (b) Section 6(b) of such Act is amended by striking out “$20,000” and inserting in lieu thereof “$50,000”. (c) Section 6(c) of such Act is amended by striking out “$1,000” and inserting in lieu thereof “$10,000”. (d) Section 6(d) of such Act is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: “In addition, the payment of any penalty imposed under subsection (c) may be deferred or suspended in whole or in part for a period of time no longer than any probation period (which may exceed one year) that may be imposed upon such person. Such a deferral or suspension shall not operate as a bar to the collection of the penalty in the event that the conditions of the suspension, deferral, or probation are not fulfilled.”.
