simplification of export regulations and lists Sec. 114. Section 7 of the Export Administration Act of 1969 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection: “(e) The Secretary of Commerce, in consultation with appropriate United States Government departments and agencies and with appropriate technical advisory committees established under section 5(c), shall review the rules and regulations issued under this Act and the lists of articles, materials, and supplies which are subject to export controls in order to determine how compliance with the provisions of this Act can be facilitated by simplifying such rules and regulations, by simplifying or clarifying such lists, or by any other means. Not later than one year after the enactment of this subsection, the Secretary of Commerce shall report to Congress on the actions taken on the basis of such review to simplify such rules and regulations. Such report may be included in the semiannual report required by section 10 of this Act”.
