NATIONAL SERVICE LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM.

SEC. 201. NATIONAL SERVICE LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM. (a) Extension.— Subsections (a) and (b)(1) of section 722 are amended— (1) by striking out “one year” each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “two years”; and (2) by striking out “one-year” each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “two-year”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to any person who, on or after September 1, 1991, is found by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to be eligible for insurance under section 722 of title 38, United States Code.
