SEC. 317. REGIONAL FISHERIES LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTERS. (a) Gulf of Mexico.— The Coast Guard shall establish a Gulf of Mexico Regional Fisheries Law Enforcement Training Center in the Eighth Coast Guard District in Southeastern Louisiana. (b) Southeast Atlantic.— The Coast Guard shall establish a Southeast Regional Fisheries Law Enforcement Training Center in the Seventh Coast Guard District in Charleston, South Carolina. (c) Purpose.— The purpose of the regional fisheries law enforcement training centers shall be to increase the skills and training of Coast Guard fisheries law enforcement personnel and to ensure that such training considers and meets the unique and complex needs and demands of the fisheries of the Gulf of Mexico and the Southeast United States.
