SEC. 422. CONFORMING AMENDMENTS. (a) Duties of Masters.— Section 10702(b) of title 46, United States Code, is amended by striking “a shipping commissioner” and inserting in lieu thereof “the consular officer or court clerk”. 107 STAT. 2439 (b) Complaints of Unfitness.— Section 10902(b) of title 46, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (1)— (A) by inserting “Secretary,” immediately after “The complaint may be made to the”; (B) by striking “Coast Guard shipping commissioner,”; and (2) in paragraphs (2) and (3), by striking “The officer, commissioner,” each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “The Secretary, officer,”. (c) Shipping Commissioner Designations and Duties.— (1) Section 10102 of title 46, United States Code, is repealed. (2) The analysis at the beginning of chapter 101 is amended by striking the item relating to section 10102.
