PAYMENT OF PENALTIES.

SEC. 3133. PAYMENT OF PENALTIES. The Secretary of Energy may pay to the Hazardous Substance Superfund established under section 9507 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (26 U.S.C. 9507), from funds appropriated to the Department of Energy for environmental restoration and waste management activities pursuant to section 3102, stipulated civil penalties assessed under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (42 U.S.C. 9601 et seq.) in amounts as follows: (1) $50,000, assessed against the Fernald Environmental Management Project, Ohio, under such Act. (2) $50,000, assessed against the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Ohio, under such Act.
