OFFICE OF FISSILE MATERIALS DISPOSITION.

SEC. 3158. OFFICE OF FISSILE MATERIALS DISPOSITION. (a) Establishment.— Title II of the Department of Energy Organization Act (42 U.S.C. 7131 et seq.) is amended by adding at the end the following: “office of fissile materials disposition “Sec. 212. (a) There shall be within the Department an Office of Fissile Materials Disposition. “(b) The Secretary shall designate the head of the Office. The head of the Office shall report to the Under Secretary. “(c) The head of the Office shall be responsible for all activities of the Department relating to the management, storage, and disposition of fissile materials from weapons and weapons systems that are excess to the national security needs of the United States”. (b) Conforming Amendment.— The table of contents in the first section of such Act is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 210 the following new items: “Sec. 211. Office of Minority Economic Impact. “Sec. 212. Office of Fissile Materials Disposition.”.
