LIMITATION ON RETIREMENT OR DISMANTLEMENT OF STRATEGIC NUCLEAR DELIVERY SYSTEMS.
SEC. 1404. LIMITATION ON RETIREMENT OR DISMANTLEMENT OF STRATEGIC NUCLEAR DELIVERY SYSTEMS. (a) Sense of Congress.— It is the sense of Congress that, unless and until the START II Treaty enters into force, the Secretary of Defense should not take any action to retire or dismantle, or to prepare to retire or dismantle, any of the following strategic nuclear delivery systems: (1) B–52H bomber aircraft. (2) Trident ballistic missile submarines. (3) Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles. (4) Peacekeeper intercontinental ballistic missiles. (b) Limitation on Use of Funds— Funds available to the Department of Defense may not be obligated or expended during fiscal year 1996 for retiring or dismantling, or for preparing to retire or dismantle, any of the strategic nuclear delivery systems specified in subsection (a).
