AMENDMENTS TO EDUCATION LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAMS.

SEC. 1079. AMENDMENTS TO EDUCATION LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAMS. (a) General Education Loan Repayment Program.— Section 2171(a)(1) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by striking out “or” at the end of subparagraph (A); (2) by redesignating subparagraph (B) as subparagraph (C); and (3) by inserting after subparagraph (A) the following new subparagraph (B): “(B) any loan made under part D of such title (the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, 20 U.S.C. 1087a et seq.); or”. (b) Education Loan Repayment Program for Enlisted Members of Selected Reserve With Critical Specialties.— Section 16301(a)(1) of such title is amended— 110 STAT. 452 (1) by striking out “or” at the end of subparagraph (A); (2) by redesignating subparagraph (B) as subparagraph (C); and (3) by inserting after subparagraph (A) the following new subparagraph (B): “(B) any loan made under part D of such title (the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, 20 U.S.C. 1087a et seq.); or”. (c) Education Loan Repayment Program for Health Professions Officers Serving in Selected Reserve With War-time Critical Medical Skill Shortages.— Section 16302(a) of such title is amended— (1) by redesignating paragraphs (2) through (4) as paragraphs (3) through (5) respectively; and (2) by inserting after paragraph (1) the following new paragraph (2): “(2) any loan made under part D of such title (the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, 20 U.S.C. 1087a et seq.); or”.
