APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY OFFICERS.

SEC. 211. APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY OFFICERS. (a) In General.— Section 214 of title 14, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the heading by striking “Original appointment” and inserting “Appointment”; (2) by redesignating subsections (d), (e), and (f) in order as subsections (b), (c), and (d); and (3) in subsection (c), as so redesignated, by inserting “, or a subsequent promotion appointment of a temporary officer,” after “section”. (b) Conforming Amendment.— The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 11 of title 14, United States Code, is amended in the item relating to section 214 by striking “Original appointment” and inserting “Appointment”.
