INTERIM INFANTRY ANTI-TANK WEAPON
SEC. 114. INTERIM INFANTRY ANTI-TANK WEAPON (a) Determination of Interim Infantry Anti-Tank Weapon.—The Secretary of the Army shall select an interim infantry anti-tank weapon from among the Milan II weapon, the Bofors Bill weapon, Dragon Generation II weapon, and the Marine Corps Dragon Generation III weapon. The selection shall be based on the Secretary’s determination of which of such weapons is the most effective weapon on the basis of all of the operational testing and evaluation of those weapons conducted as of June 1, 1989. The Secretary shall manage the program for the weapon selected so that such weapon is ready to enter into low-rate initial production during fiscal year 1990. 102 STAT. 1932 (b) OT&E Assessment.—The Director of Operational Test and Evaluation of the Department of Defense shall conduct an independent assessment of the operational tests and evaluations referred to in subsection (a). The Director shall submit a report on such assessment to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives not later than June 1, 1989.
