REQUIREMENTS WITH RESPECT TO CERTAIN NAVY MEDICAL PERSONNEL

SEC. 642. REQUIREMENTS WITH RESPECT TO CERTAIN NAVY MEDICAL PERSONNEL Of the amount appropriated for operation and maintenance for the Navy for fiscal year 1989, $15,000,000 shall be available only for the pay and allowances of those civilian employees of the Navy— (1) hired after September 30, 1988, to perform duties in support of Navy medical treatment facilities; and (2) only to the extent that the number of such employees hired after that date results in a greater number of such employees performing those duties for the Navy than were performing those duties for the Navy on September 30, 1988.
