Sec. 2403. (a) The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (20 U.S.C. 2841) is amended— (1) in section 503— (A) by striking “under Public Law 88–210 (as amended; 20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.)” each place it appears and inserting “under Public Law 105–332 (20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.)”; and (B) by adding at the end the following: “(d) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, for fiscal year 2000, the Secretary shall not consider the expected levels of performance under Public Law 105–332 (20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.) and shall not award a grant under subsection (a) based on the levels of performance for that Act.”. (b) Section 1l(a)(l)(C) of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998 (20 U.S.C. 2321) is amended by striking “fiscal years 2000” and inserting “Fiscal years 2001”.
