CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE.
SEC. 1045. CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE. Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report on the requirements of the Department of Defense, including the reserve components, regarding chemical and biological protective equipment. The report shall set forth the following: (1) A description of any current shortfalls with respect to requirements regarding chemical and biological protective equipment for military personnel, whether for individuals or units. (2) An assessment of what should be the appropriate level of protection for civilian employees of the Department of Defense against chemical and biological attack. (3) A plan for providing required chemical and biological protective equipment for military personnel and civilian employees of the Department of Defense. (4) An assessment of the costs associated with carrying out the plan described in paragraph (3).
