SEC. 714. CONSTRUCTIVE SERVICE CREDIT FOR OFFICERS APPOINTED WITH HEALTH PROFESSIONS EXPERIENCE (a) Regular Components.—Section 533(b)(1)(B) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by inserting “(i)” after “(B)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following: “(ii) Credit for experience in a health profession (other than medicine or dentistry), if such experience will be directly used by the armed force concerned.” (b) Army Reserve.—Section 3353(b)(1)(B) of such title is amended— 101 STAT. 1113 (1) by inserting “(i)” after “(B)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following: “(ii) Credit for experience in a health profession (other than medicine or dentistry), if such experience will be directly used by the Army.” (c) Naval Reserve and Marine Corps Reserve.—Section 5600(b)(1)(B) of such title is amended— (1) by inserting “(i)” after “(B)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following: “(ii) Credit for experience in a health profession (other than medicine or dentistry), if such experience will be directly used by the Navy or Marine Corps, as appropriate.” (d) Air Force Reserve.—Section 8353(b)(1)(B) of such title is amended— (1) by inserting “(i)” after “(B)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following: “(ii) Credit for experience in a health profession (other than medicine or dentistry), if such experience will be directly used by the Air Force.”
