FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY ADMINISTRATION
FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY ADMINISTRATION motor carrier safety limitation on administrative expenses (including rescission of funds) For necessary expenses for administration of motor carrier safety programs and motor carrier safety research, pursuant to section 104(a)(1)(B) of title 23, United States Code, not to exceed $110,000,000 shall be paid in accordance with law from appropriations made available by this Act and from any available takedown balances to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, together with advances and reimbursements received by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration: Provided, That such amounts shall be available to carry out the functions and operations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Of the unobligated balances authorized under 23 U.S.C. 104(a)(1)(B), $6,665,342 are rescinded. National Motor Carrier Safety Program (liquidation of contract authorization) (limitation on obligations) (highway trust fund) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for payment of obligations incurred in carrying out 49 U.S.C. 31102, 31106 and 31309, $205,896,000, to be derived from the Highway Trust Fund and to remain available until expended: Provided, That none of the funds in this Act shall be available for the implementation or execution of programs the obligations for which are in excess of $182,000,000 for “Motor Carrier Safety Grants”, and “Information Systems”: Provided further, That notwithstanding any other provision of law, of the $23,896,000 provided under 23 U.S.C. 110, $18,000,000 shall be for border State grants and $4,837,000 shall be for State commercial driver’s license program improvements.
