SEC. 317. REASONABLE REINVESTIGATION REQUIRED. Section 611(a)(1)(A) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. 1681i(a)(1)(A)) is amended by striking “shall reinvestigate free of charge” and inserting “shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate”.
