ASSESSMENT OF WATERS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

SEC. 805. SECURITY ASSESSMENT OF WATERS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE UNITED STATES. Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the department in which the Coast Guard is operating shall—(1) conduct a vulnerability assessment under section 70102(b) of title 46, United States Code, of the waters under the jurisdiction of the United States that are adjacent to nuclear facilities that may be damaged by a transportation security incident as defined in section 70101 (6) of title 46, United States Code; (2) coordinate with the appropriate Federal agencies in preparing the vulnerability assessment required under paragraph (1); and (3) submit the vulnerability assessments required under paragraph (1) to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate.
