SEC. 126. LOCAL PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS. Section 206(a) of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (42 U.S.C. 5116e(a)) is amended—(1) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking “prevention-focused, family resource and support programs” and inserting “and prevention-focused programs and activities designed to strengthen and support families to prevent child abuse and neglect”;(2) in paragraph (3)(B), by inserting “voluntary home visiting and” after “including”; and(3) by striking paragraph (6) and inserting the following:“(6) participate with other community-based and prevention-focused programs and activities designed to strengthen and support families to prevent child abuse and neglect in the development, operation and expansion of networks where appropriate.”.117 STAT. 817
