SEC. 1169. REAUTHORIZATION OF MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM FOR SCHOOL SECURITY. (a) In General.—Section 2705 of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 3797e) is amended by striking “2003” and inserting “2009”. (b) Program to Remain Under COPS Office.—Section 2701 of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 3797a) is amended in subsection (a) by inserting after “The Attorney General” the following: “, acting through the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services,”.
