SEC. 7259. NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION. (a) Supervision.—Section 241(b) of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5651(b)) is amended by striking “, and shall” and all that follows through “section 201(c) . (b) State Advisory Groups.—Section 241(f) of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5651(f)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1) by striking “section 224” and inserting “section 261”, (2) by redesignating paragraphs (1), (2), (3), and (4) as subparagraphs (B), (C), (D), and (E), respectively, (3) by inserting “(1)” after “(f)”, and (4) by striking “provide,” and all that follows through “purpose of—”, and inserting the following: “provide technical and financial assistance to an eligible organization composed of member representatives of the State advisory groups appointed under section 223(a)(3) to assist such organization to carry out the functions specified in paragraph (2). “(2) To be eligible to receive such assistance, such organization shall agree to carry out activities that include— “(A) conducting an annual conference of such member representatives for purposes relating to the activities of such State advisory groups;”. (c) Technical Amendment.—Section 241 of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5651) is amended by striking subsection (h).
