Sec. 7028. (a) The matter under the heading “Tenant-Based Rental Assistance” in chapter 9 of title I of division B of Public Law 109–148 is amended—(1) in the first proviso, by striking “or the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act (Public Law 100–77)” and inserting “the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, section 221(d)(3), 221(d)(5), or 236 of the National Housing Act, or section 101 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965”; and(2) in the second proviso, by inserting “, except that paragraph (7)(A) of such section shall not apply” after “1937”.(b) The provisions of this section are designated as an emergency requirement pursuant to section 402 of H. Con. Res. 95 (109th Congress), the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2006.
