SEC. 602. INCREASE IN MAXIMUM RATE OF BASIC PAY FOR GENERAL AND FLAG OFFICER GRADES TO CONFORM TO INCREASE IN PAY CAP FOR SENIOR EXECUTIVE SERVICE PERSONNEL.(a) Increase.—Section 203(a)(2) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking “level III of the Executive Schedule” and inserting “level II of the Executive Schedule”.(b) Effective Date.—The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on January 1, 2007, and shall apply with respect to months beginning on or after that date.
