Sec. 1007. (a) Waiving Repayment of Certain Overtime Compensation Paid Incorrectly.—Except as provided in subsection (b), any individual to whom overtime compensation was paid under section 1009 of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 2003 (Public Law 108–7; 117 Stat. 359), in violation of the restrictions applicable to the payment of such compensation under section 1009(b) of such Act shall not be required to repay the compensation, but only to the extent the compensation was paid for services provided prior to June 15, 2005.(b) Exception.—Subsection (a) shall not apply with respect to any officer or employee of the United States Capitol Police whose annual rate of pay is specified in statute and is not established under the schedule of rates of basic pay established and maintained by the Capitol Police Board.
