Advisory Council on Historic Preservation salaries and expenses For expenses made necessary by the Act establishing an Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, Public Law 89–665, as amended, $1,920,000: Provided, That none of the funds under this head may be used to process comments on undertakings of Federal agencies, as specified in sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, on grants or contracts to institutions or facilities whose main activity is the conduct of scientific research and such agencies shall be relieved from the requirement of seeking comments on such undertakings unless requested in writing by the grantee: Provided further, That none of these funds shall be available for the compensation of Executive Level V or higher positions.
