DEPARTMENT OF STATE Administration of Foreign Affairs diplomatic and consular programs For an additional amount for “Diplomatic and Consular Programs”, $704,900,000, which shall become available on October 1, 2008, and remain available through September 30, 2009: Provided, That of the funds appropriated under this heading, $78,400,000 is for worldwide security protection and shall remain available until expended: Provided further, That not more than $550,500,000 of the funds appropriated under this heading shall be available for diplomatic operations in Iraq. office of inspector general (including transfer of funds) For an additional amount for “Office of Inspector General”, $57,000,000, which shall become available on October 1, 2008, and remain available through September 30, 2009: Provided, That $36,500,000 shall be transferred to the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction for reconstruction oversight and $5,000,000 shall be transferred to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction for reconstruction oversight. embassy security, construction, and maintenance For an additional amount for “Embassy Security, Construction, and Maintenance”, $41,300,000, which shall become available on 122 STAT. 2332 October 1, 2008, and remain available until expended, for facilities in Afghanistan.
