SEC. 1052. SUBMISSION TO CONGRESS OF REVISION TO REGULATION ON ENEMY PRISONERS OF WAR, RETAINED PERSONNEL, CIVILIAN INTERNEES, AND OTHER DETAINEES.(a) Submission to Congress.—A successor regulation to Army Regulation 190–8 Enemy Prisoners of War, Retained Personnel, Civilian Internees and Other Detainees (dated October 1, 1997) may not be carried out or implemented until the date that is 60 days after the date on which the Secretary of Defense submits to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives such successor regulation.(b) Savings Clause.—Nothing in this section shall affect the continued effectiveness of Army Regulation 190–8 Enemy Prisoners of War, Retained Personnel, Civilian Internees and Other Detainees (dated October 1, 1997).
