Rehabilitation Services and Disability Research For carrying out, to the extent not otherwise provided, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Assistive Technology Act of 1998, and the Helen Keller National Center Act, $3,506,861,000: Provided, That for purposes of determining whether a State may administer the Centers for Independent Living program under section 723 of the Rehabilitation Act, for fiscal year 2010, the Secretary shall exclude American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funds awarded in fiscal year 2009 from the calculation of Federal funding allotted under section 721(c) and (d) of the Rehabilitation Act: Provided further, That $5,095,000 shall be used for the projects, and in the amounts, specified under the heading “Rehabilitation Services and Disability Research” in the statement of the managers on the conference report accompanying this Act.
