SEC. 6006. INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM PURPOSES. Section 514(b) of title 23, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (8) by striking “and” at the end; (2) in paragraph (9) by striking the period at the end and inserting “; and”; and (3) by adding at the end the following: “(10) to assist in the development of cybersecurity research in cooperation with relevant modal administrations of the Department of Transportation and other Federal agencies to help prevent hacking, spoofing, and disruption of connected and automated transportation vehicles.” .
