KING INSURANCE AND SAFETY FIRE COMMISSIONER DATE: JUNE 2, 2020 RE: NEW PROCESSING FEE FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS On July 1, 2020, a processing fee of $5.00 will be added to all incoming transactions with a payment associated, regardless of division or payment type. The processing fee will be included in the instructions on invoices and will be implemented on and applicable to all transactions with a payment associated, starting July 1, 2020 (aside from appointment fees already addressed in separate instructions). The new processing fee will address costs to maintain systems interfaces and the OCI back office. Processing fees on general transactions have not been implemented historically and OCI is continuing to look for ways to reduce the cost of supporting our client base and constituents. More automation will be introduced in the future, and clients and constituents moving to lower cost processing will see increased cyber security and benefit from greater ease in the filing and payment processes.
