Hayashida Insurance Commissioner RE: Online Applications Mandated for Added New Licenses and License Renewals (Including Reinstatements Within 30 Days of Nonrenewal) This Memorandum incorporates and continues Commissioner’s Memorandum 2020- 13LIC’s provisions regarding the Insurance Division’s mandate for certain license applications and renewals to be submitted online. Effective June 1, 2021, all applications for new and renewed licenses for Adjusters, Third Party Administrator and Limited Lines Self-Service Storage Producer licenses shall be submitted online. I. For New License Applications Applications for the following licenses shall be submitted online at www.nipr.com. No hard copy applications for these licenses, unless otherwise noted, shall be accepted at the Insurance Division office. 1. Resident Limited Lines Self-Service Storage Producer license 2. Resident & Nonresident Crop Adjuster – Limited license 3. Resident & Nonresident Independent Adjuster license 4. Resident & Nonresident Public Adjuster license 5. Resident & Nonresident Third-Party Administrator 6. Resident & Nonresident Workers’ Compensation Adjuster – Limited license Commissioner’s Memorandum 2021-6LIC May 11, 2021 Page 2 * Note: If licenses were inactivated within two years of inactivation, DO NOT reactivate your license via NIPR. Please contact the Licensing Branch at inslic@dcca.hawaii.gov for further instructions. II. For Certain License Renewals (including reinstatement within 30 days of nonrenewal) The renewals for the following added licenses shall be submitted online at www.nipr.com. No hard copy license renewals for these licenses, unless otherwise noted, shall be accepted at the Insurance Division office. 1. Resident Limited Lines Self-Service Storage Producer licenses 2. Resident & Nonresident Crop Adjuster – Limited licenses 3. Resident & Nonresident Independent Adjuster licenses 4. Resident & Nonresident Public Adjuster licenses 5. Resident & Nonresident Third-Party Administrator 6. Resident & Nonresident Workers’ Compensation Adjuster – Limited licenses *NOTE - The renewals of an Independent Adjuster License and Public Adjuster license may also be made through ehawaii.gov/insrenew. DO NOT renew or reinstate an Independent Adjuster License and Public Adjuster license through both websites, just one or the other. This Commissioner’s Memorandum continues previous Memorandums to the extent that the license applications and renewals listed above must be submitted electronically. Hard copies of the above license applications and renewals received by the Insurance Division on and after June 1, 2021 shall be returned. PLEASE NOTE THAT BECAUSE APPLICATIONS AND RENEWALS ARE BEING SUBMITTED THROUGH THIRD-PARTY VENDORS, THE INSURANCE DIVISION CANNOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR APPLICATIONS OR RENEWAL OF LICENSES SUBMITTED IN ERROR.
