Each county may, by
ordinance, require that a permit be obtained from the AHJ for any area
regulated by this chapter. [Eff ] (Auth: HRS §132-3)

(Under the authority of this code, there are no state fire code
permits. Permit authorization fall under the jurisdiction of each
adopted county fire code and is specifically authorized by HRS
107-28(a).)
