HAR §15-34-2. Definitions

As used in this chapter. unless a different meaning clearly appears in context: "Board" means the board of directors of the de\ elopment corporation. "Development corporation" means the Hawaii technology de\ elopment corporation established by chapter 206\!L HRS. "Grant'' means financial assistance pro\ ided to qualified companies in the State of Hawaii conducting research of alternatiw energy and energy efficiency technologies in the fields of geothermal. solar. \\·ind. ocean pO\Yer, hydrodynamics. bioenergy. biomass, solid waste, smart grids. transportation, or demand response. e\ idenced by a contract from the United States Department of Defense Office of Na, al Research. under the terms and conditions proYicled in th is chapter. ''HRS" means the Ha,\·aii Re,·ised Statutes. "Recipient" means any business receiving a grant under this chapter. "State" means the State of Hawaii.
