HAR §15-34-7. Consideration and review of applications

(a) The development corporation shall cause the re\ iew of the application and resolution of any questions relating to the application through contact\\ ith the grant applicant. (a) In determining the distribution of funds. the development corporation shall be guided by the nature and significance of the acti, ity ofeach grant application in relation to the research and cle\·elopment of rene,vable energy in the State. the impo11ance of the grant to the actiYity's success, and the potential economic ad, antage or job creation prospects offered to the State. (b) Preference shall be gi,·en to qualified busi nesses recei\·ing their first altemati,e energy research and de,·elopment program award. (c ) The development corporation shall not grant more than one award to any business in a fiscal year unless funding remains a, ai lable in the last quarter of the fiscal year. (a) Maximum grant amounts shall not exceed S500,000 or fifty per cent of the amount of the grant awarded to the business by the United States Department of Defense Office of Naval Research. whichever is less.
