Meetings of the Merit Commission

Section 50 Section 50.10  Meetings of the Merit Commission a)         Notice of the date, time, and place of any meetings of the Merit Commission--regular, special, or otherwise – called by the Chairman of the Commission shall be in writing and a copy thereof delivered to each member, the Secretary of State, and the Director of Personnel ("Director") by the Chairman of the Commission at least three calendar days in advance of the meeting.  Notice shall also be delivered to the General Law Division of the Attorney General's Office and to others, including organizations representing a substantial number of State employees, provided that a written request for notification has been filed with the Commission. Request for notification shall be annually filed in July. b)         Regular meetings will convene alternately, when practicable, between Chicago, and Springfield, Illinois.
