Approval of Application

Section 522 Section 522.70  Approval of Application a)         The Department shall approve the permit application upon its determination, after a site investigation that it is complete, correct and in compliance with the requirements of the Act and this Part.  The application shall be marked "approved" on its face. b)         The Department shall notify the permittee that the application has been approved by sending a copy of the approved application to the permittee. c)         Permittees shall be issued an identifying tag by the Department which shall be securely affixed to the front face of the sign or sign structure in a conspicuous place by the owner or the Department upon erection of the sign or within ten days after receipt of the tag, whichever is later (Section 8 of the Act).  Permittees shall provide evidence such as "as-built" plans or affidavit, but, preferably by photograph, of erection of signs.
