820 IAC 4-4-4 Specific curriculum for cosmetologists

Sec. 4. (c) All: (1) manicures; (2) pedicures; (3) facials; (4) scalp treatments; (5) shampoo and massage; and (6) sales; must be done on live models. At least twenty-five percent (25%) of the other services must be done on live models. (d) The actual practice not described in subsection (c) may be on actual customers of the beauty culture school. However, students may not work on customers of the beauty culture school until they have completed a total of two hundred (200) hours. Customers shall be rotated according to the students' needs for practice on live models.
