LAC 51:XXIII.3507. Premises [formerly paragraph 22:24-2]

A. The premises shall be free of: 1. items that are unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of the food establishment, or retail food store/market, such as equipment that is nonfunctional or no longer used; and 2. litter. B. The premises shall be kept free of pests by: 1. routinely inspecting the premises for evidence of pests; and 2. using methods of control approved by law. C. Outdoor walking and driving areas shall be surfaced with concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials that have been effectively treated to minimize dust, facilitate maintenance, drain properly and prevent muddy conditions.
