LAC 51:XXIII.4703. Permits [formerly paragraph 23A:003]

A. A temporary food service permit is not required for those fairs or festivals expressly exempted from regulation by R.S. 40:4.1 thru R.S. 40:4.6 inclusive. B. When an organizer, promoter, or chairman of an exempted fair or festival makes written request for Office of Public Health inspections and permits and pays applicable fees, he or she shall comply with §4705 of this Part. C. All fairs or festivals not exempted by Subsection A of this Section, shall not be allowed to operate until applying for, paying applicable fees, and receiving a valid permit to operate from the state health officer or his/her duly authorized representative.
