A. The teacher education program provides candidates at both the initial and advanced levels with knowledge and skills in the curriculum process. Unacceptable | Acceptable | Target Candidates understand the elements of reform mathematics. | Candidates use reform mathematics content and pedagogy in providing instruction. | Candidates effectively use reform mathematics content and pedagogy in instruction and assessment, including the use of manipulatives and/or the application of content to real life situations, resulting in improved student learning.
