Nondiscrimination in Service Delivery

A local ombudsman program, or the host agency within which it operates, will not deny services to or otherwise discriminate in the delivery of services to a resident on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, or because such a person is a recipient of federal, state, or local public assistance. A local ombudsman program must comply with all applicable provisions of: (1) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.); (2) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794) and the regulations promulgated thereunder (45 CFR 84); (3) M.G.L. c. 151B, ยง 4(10); and (4) Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. ยง 12101 et seq.).
